About our Charity

As I think most of you know, we're blogging for Adopt a Husky of Dallas. We chose this charity because it helps huskies in our area. Despite being named Adopt a Husky of Dallas, they actually rescue dogs from all over the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, which is a very large area. AHDI works to raise awareness in the area about the Siberian Husky breed so that families make the right decision on whether a husky is the right pet for them. In addition, AHDI rescues huskies from shelters and bad situations, places them in foster homes, and works to find them permanent homes with responsible owners. When the rescued dogs are in foster care, they often need medical treatment, so the expenses incurred by the rescue can become quite large.

And that's where we come in, blogging to raise money so they can rescue even more huskies. To see some of the dogs that are in foster care, visit this website. There are some really great looking dogs available, don't you think? We hope they all find homes soon.

We want to say thanks again to all of our sponsors who helped us raise money. We are so fortunate to have such a great group of friends!

Woo Kat - I am still so proud of you, Steve and Wilber. I wish we had a husky rescue in our town. There is one north of atlanta, but that is a bit over an hour and half away.

Hugs,
Sitka

What a good thing to do, help your fellow huskies.....we do that here when we help MaPaw. It's a shame so many huskies still need to find their furever homes.

I saw your comment on Meeshka's page. Before you post, go to post options (on the same page that you typed on) and there you can modify your time on your post (and date too).

That's a very good cause that you are blogging for, I'm sure they'll appreciate the money that you raise for them.
