As you saw in my Wordless Wednesday post, I was given the big job of licking the ice cream container clean. It's really a hard job, but somepup had to do it, so I stepped up to the plate. After licking out ice cream containers, sometimes a pup feels a little hungover. Kat says the best medicine for an ice cream hangover is a nice, long walk, so we suited up for one. I think maybe Kat thought that I wouldn't make it so she really twisted us up so I had to keep pace with her. I guess that's what's nice about having a sister. Sure, they boss you around a lot, but they are always there to help you get through a walk.
Mom has been working hard up in the sewing room. First she created the Extreme Crate Makeover. Now she has created a quilt for me. Mom can't take all the credit though because Dave from the Army of Four helped her figure out how to quilt it. (Or maybe it was his mom, I can't remember.)
Now my blanket is finished and I took some time today to model it. It's pink, blue, and chocolate brown. Don't you think the blue looks good with my eyes?
The bad thing about having your own quilt is that it follows you everywhere you go. Here it is, trying to rest with me on the couch.
It also goes to bed with me too, but I just don't have a picture of that.
Mom has just started on a quilt for Steve. Hopefully in a month or so, he will share his quilt!

PS. Just so you don't miss Steve too much, this is what he did earlier this week while Mom was putting her hair in a ponytail before our walk. He just gets so excited. (Sorry, it's not a very good picture.)
I promised to take you all back to one spot where I found some really cool Christmas lights. So on Christmas Eve, I got Mom and Dad bundled up and I took them (and Kat) out for a walk.
Here's what happened when we got to my cool lights spot.
Unfortunately, the lights didn't work. Mom thinks that since they were motion sensored, the motion sensor was probably under so much snow, it couldn't sense any motion. The Santa lights were really cool though and I really freaked out when they started talking to me!
Later, we found some other really cool lights. Kat and I were very interested in one house, but Mom wanted us to pay attention to a different house.
Well, that's my last snowy walking video too as most of our snow has been stolen by the snow thief. Hopefully we will get more snow, but I have a hunch it won't be the same. Steve
I'm here again today to tell you about some more fun stuff to do while you're on a snowy walk.
I like to walk close to the bushes and trees along the trails and sidewalks. It's great fun to brush off all the snow onto your back and perhaps onto your mom. (My mom thinks it's cold, but what does she know?)
Next it's fun to pair up with your sister and zig-zag all over the street.
It's also fun to plow snow with your head and make your mom giggle.
Finally, Kat demonstrates the art of blazing a new trail. The sidewalk we were walking down here is covered with new snow, so Kat was trying to clear the way.

My buddy Ozzie had been complaining about wearing a Gentle Leader. I admit, they are the most awful husky torture devices ever invented. I can't believe Santa ever thought I wanted one for Christmas last year.
Today Mom decided to walk us. She doesn't like to walk us together so she made us wear our Gentle Leaders so we would be more controllable. She also has a walking belt now so her hands are free. Why do you think she needs free hands? Because she wanted to walk to the nearest latte shack and get something warm. Now we see where her priorities lie!
Anyway, after she cornered me and bribed me with a Happy Hearts cookie, Mom put my Gentle Leader on. I had to immediately go to work trying to free myself.
I didn't have any success with freeing myself inside, so I agreed to go outside and pretend to walk. I was really looking for opportunities to free myself outside.
Here's a video of Kat making doggie snow angels and then later in the video, we sort of walk like proper sled dogs (aka side-by-side).

Welcome to a new edition of "Walking With Steve". You might remember when I tried this once before and it started pouring down rain and Mom's pants fell off. (Okay, almost fell off.) Well, now I'm back for another go at it. It gets dark pretty early here in Seattle in December, so it's dark when we go for walks. I decided to show off all the Christmas lights in the neighborhood for this Christmas edition of Walking With Steve.
It was only 25F when we decided to head out. As you can see in this picture, I just threw on my leash and puplight and I was ready to go. As you can also see, Mom threw (and I use that term loosely) on her hat, gloves, snow pants, snow coat, iPhone headphones, treat bag, poop bags, camera, head lamp, and a variety of other things and then she was ready to go. Can you believe all the stuff humans require?
I took three videos because our camera doesn't like when the videos get too long. This first one shows our house (not very decorated) and the rest of our street.
Next we have another street with several lights. This was taken after Mom about fell on her rear crossing the street.
Finally we have this section of houses that are all decorated. Remember them because I'm going to do another segment where we come back to one of them. I discovered something interesting, but Mom had already put the camera away.
Mom says she's embarrassed at how noisy her walking is and will try to do better next time. She does say she can't help it because she's walking really fast to keep up with my pace. Excuses, excuses.
I decided that I would participate in Walkin' Wednesday this week. Actually this video was taken on Monday, but that's okay, I think.
This first video is what Kat and I do when Mom gets the leashes out.

It started pouring rain. Mom's pants got so wet, she thought they might fall off because they were so heavy. It wasn't the normal Seattle drizzle, but real rain, like we had in Texas. So Mom and I headed back home, but she took this rainy video on the way.
Dad and Kat made it home too. They were drenched!
I'll have to do another Walkin' Wednesday when I'm not interrupted by rain.
Kat and I took Mom and Dad to the PAWSwalk on Saturday. It's a walk to raise money for the PAWS animal shelter and they raised over $200,000! That really makes our Blogathon look weak!
Before we went to the park, Mom and Dad stopped to get themselves some breakfast. We had to sit in the car while they ate and you can see how that went in this video.
We got to the park early and had to do some boring standing around. Here's Dad and Kat followed by Mom and me.Here's the start of the race.
And here's the end, except Mom messed it up and held the camera incorrectly. (What good is having thumbs if you don't know how to use them.)
We walked for over three miles and when we were done, we were pooped! Kat was in her cranky pants mood and growled at everydog, so Dad was annoyed. She doesn't look too cranky in this picture though. We also saw Royal after the walk. Luckily Kat had recovered from her crankiness and didn't embarrass me. Royal is very cool.
Well, that's pretty much our weekend excitement. Did you pups do anything exciting?
I don't think we've posted anything about our walks in our new neighborhood. So I had Mom take some pictures of us and also a video.
Here we are doing some smelligation. There are lots of dogs up here, so we therefore have a lot of stuff to sniff. The other dogs like to leave a little something behind if you know what I mean. Mom is glad that Steve isn't into marking his territory because he'd have to stop too many times.
Here's a picture of two very cute, fluffy butts if I do say so myself. The cutest butt is on the right, but the fluffiest one is on the left. We always walk with me on the right and Steve on the left.
Finally, here is a video. I really hope you enjoy it because Mom almost died during the making of this video. Right at the beginning, when she laughs, it's because Steve stopped abruptly right in front of her and she fell into the fence. She is so retarded. She almost died a lot more later in the walk, and no camera was involved. I really think Mom should try walking on four legs because walking on two legs doesn't seem to agree with her.
Our video is having trouble, so we'll hopefully put it up later.
