Memoir - Steve
Khyra and Echo tagged me to play in a game quickly spanning the Blog-o-sphere. Here are the rules:

Birdy Beware!
It's me, Kat, again! I don't have any pictures of this adventure, yet I thought I'd tell you all about it anyway.
The other day, Steve and I were in the backyard playing. This was before Dad worked on the fence to make it escape-proof (more about all of our escapes later). So Mom was watching us pretty closely to make sure we didn't end up in the deaf-old-lady's yard or the neighbors-who-leave-their-gate-open's yard. However, Mom was also unloading the dishwasher, so she wasn't actually watching us every second.
So all of the sudden, Mom heard this terrible squawking. She looked out the window and saw me with a bird in my mouth and another bird trying to fly away. She hollered at Dad to go outside and take care of it. Apparently Moms are not equipped to deal with bird situations. So out cameDad, armed with a grocery bag and a shovel. By this point, I am bored with the bird that I so grandly caught out of mid-air and Steve was standing over it. (Steve was trying to take credit for the bird, but we all know he would never actually be fast enough to do anything.) Dad picked up the dead bird and took it back to go in the trash dumpster.
However, that was not the end of the saga. The other bird managed to get up in the tree and just kept squawking at me for a long time. It also flew and hopped from tree to tree as I walked around the yard. Mom found this very disturbing, but I was just daring it to stop talking smack to me and come fight me like a man. We would see who wins! It never did... YET! All birds must watch out when they visit MY yard!
Kat
PS. Mom doesn't know what kind of bird it was. She's pretty bird stupid. It was blue and had a "mohawk". She couldn't find the type on wikipedia after trying for like at least 30 seconds so she gave up. I couldn't help either because all I saw was yummy!

House Warming Presents!
Hi ya pups! It's Kat and I just want to apologize for our lack of posting lately. Mom has been so busy with unpacking the house. Wilbur keeps trying to go outside, so he ends up locked in the office while the humans are going in and out, so that has kept us from the computer. We have lots of adventures to blog about, but first we have to say THANK YOU to the Forget Sit and Stay Gang. They sent us some really cool clubhouse warming presents.
First, we got a snuggle heart. It's really pretty and red and is supposed to absorb your scent so it's comforting. Unfortunately, I haven't rubbed a lot of scent on it because I've been busy playing with the other toy they sent us, a jailbird! Everypup needs one. It's so fun. When Mom first opened the box, she thought it was a penguin (as she says on the video), but it's a black and white striped bird with a ball attacked to it's leg. I have been so perplexed why the bird will not let me have the ball. It's bugging me a lot and I have been shaking the bird and everything, but it won't let go of the ball. So I take it everywhere I go, just in case it relaxes and releases the ball. So far, no luck. The bird is good.
They also sent us some yummy rawhide. It was a healthy kind of rawhide too and is very tasty. Steve gives it four paws up.
Not to be left out, they sent Wilbur something too. (I bet Witty Kitty had something to do with that!) Since Wilbur doesn't have his own super cool outdoor clubhouse, they sent him a really cool tunnel. It's got like three spokes with dangly things. Unfortunately, that's all I know about it because Mom put it behind the baby gate so only Wilbur can play with it. Here's Wilbur checking out his tunnels for the first time.
So thanks so much, pups (and Witty)! We love everything!

Pictures of Us
Hi friends! Mom wanted to take a picture of us in front of the house with the sold sign. Of course, we were totally up for the challenge! I picked the very best pictures to share with you pups. I have no idea why Mom says we are going to try again later.

Check out our yard
Hey pups! We finally got to visit our new house today. It was pretty pawsome. We had Mom take a lot of videos. Hopefully you can take time to watch some of them. We might post a couple more tomorrow. :-)

It's Ours!
Mom and Dad signed all the paperwork on our new Siberian Club House and now it is officially ours. Above is a picture of the guest house where Mom, Dad and Wilbur will be living. It's not nearly as cool as our club house, but they have to live somewhere and we certainly do NOT want Wilbur living in the club house.
Tomorrow we get to go over to the club house for the first time. It's really hard to be patient until then! We just can't wait to run around the yard and check our the club house! We'll be sure to have Mom video our first exploration so you all can be there with us!

Waiting on Dad
We went for a bike ride on Saturday. It was a lot of fun. The part that wasn't fun was before we left. Mom got us harnessed up and then Dad spent an insane amount of time looking for his hat. Come on, Dad, grow some fur! He has fur on his head, but he doesn't have furry ears, so that's why he said he needed a hat. Huskies are so much smarter than humans because we grow furry ears to keep us from spending time looking for hats instead of having fun.

Happy 3rd Wilbur!
Today is Wilbur's 3rd birthday. Well, it's his gotcha day and Mom calls it his birthday. She thinks its funny that his birthday is April Fools Day. Anyway, we got Wilbur a fancy can of cat food so he can feast tonight.

Our New House
We bought ourselves a house. It's going to be the world's coolest Siberian Club House (thanks to our SMS pals for that name). Here's what it looks like now:

Wooscotti
Mom found a recipe for biscotti for dogs so she made it this morning. She tweaked the recipe just a bit so that we could give it our own name, so we decided to call it Wooscotti. What do you pups think? Is that a good name?

Woo, Thunder is Handsome
On Monday night, Steve had Mom light a candle and then, by candlelight, Steve asked me if I would be Thunder's girlfriend. Of course I said YES! I mean, look at him. He's so cute. He has pretty blue eyes like me and his mom has the same name as me, so it's almost as if we are meant for each other. Thunder is almost two, I think, so we are also the perfect age for each other. I just wish we had been together back in May when we visited some of our human relatives in Kansas City because Thunder lives close to there and we could have met. I bet we would have had a ton of fun playing chase and wrestling.

News Flash! Evil Husky Revealed!
Hi, Wilbur here. During the day, when Mom and Dad are working and the furry beasts are in the crate, I like to relax, let down my fur, and surf the internet. Sometimes I hack into Mom's email to make sure she's not saying bad stuff about me.
Imagine my surprise, when yesterday I discovered this email:
Hello ,
Thank you for your order.
Order Receipt:
Date: Mon Mar 03 11:24:12 -0500 2008
Order Status: Accepted
Dyson DC15 Ball w/Animal Plus Kit 15
Factory Direct Int. Inc.
www.FactoryDirectSuperstore.com
What? A Dyson? I have read enough dog and cat blogs to know that I DO NOT want a Dyson living here. Even furry beasts hate Dysons. So imagine how even more surprised I was to find another email sent this weekend from one furry beast, Khyra. (Names not changed to protect the guilty.) In Khyra's email, she specifically directed my mom to the website where she ordered the Dyson.
How can Khyra claim to be so nice and love the furry beasts when she schemed to bring a Dyson into our home? She's supposed to be the boy furry beast's girlfriend! Although, our first clue should have been the fact that she has other boyfriends besides him.
Beware furry beasts! Khyra is nothing but trouble!
Meow,
Wilbur

I'm not a chicken!
Mom is making me really mad. She apparently is under the false impression that I am a chicken and not a Siberian Husky. I guess she wants to eat me or something because she keeps trying to pluck my fur on my butt. Isn't that the first stage to cooking a chicken? Listen, MOM, I can't help it if I'm shedding a lot on my butt and the fur comes out in tufts. That is no excuse for you to touch me there and pluck my fur. It's MY fur (and MY butt)! STOP IT!

Stupid Steve
I'm really upset that Steve posted that picture of me where he said I looked retarded. In retaliation, I'm posting this picture of him.

How To Go To the Dog Park, Part 4
Finally we arrive at the part of our series where we arrive at the dog park! When we get close to the dog park, I get all excited about it. I know we are almost there as soon as we get off the highway and we still have a few miles to go! Mom tried to video my excitement but the video didn't turn out. Anyway, she did manage to get a video of us out of the car and walking very politely into the dog park gate. We are really good not to pull on our leashes, as you can see. That's an important thing. Be sure to behave on your leashes otherwise your parents won't know you are excited.

Finally we are going to get back to our multi-part series about going to the dog park. Sorry we got so derailed by getting sick and then playing in the snow, but we are back on track now.

Snowshoeing
Today we went snowshoeing with Mom and Dad. Being huskies, we didn't need any stinkin' snowshoes, but Mom and Dad sure did.

Big Day Tomorrow
We had to spend part of the day in our crate today. ON A SATURDAY! I know, it sound like abuse. However, we were okay with it. Mom and Dad had to go get some things for our big day tomorrow. We're going to play in the snow! It's going to be awesome and we are so excited. Watch for our recap!

Awards and Random Facts

Marley and Ziggy AND Star and Jack gave us an award. It's the "E" for Excellent award and we are very thankful that they gave it to us! We love being called excellent. Thanks pups! We would like to give this award to some pretty new bloggers, The Forget Sit & Stay Gang!

We're back....
Woo, hoo, hoo pups! We are back! Mom went to the vet yesterday on her way home. She wanted to visit us, but the vet met with her and said that she could just take us home! We were so happy. Mom didn't tell Dad that she brought us home either, so we surprised him when he got home from work.

How to Go to the Dog Park, Part 1
We went to the dog park yesterday. We are aware that several of our friends never get to go to dog parks, so we thought we'd do a multiple part series on how to get your parents to take you to the dog park. Here's how it goes at our house.

Snow pictures
We finally got computer access. Between Mom's email checking and Wilbur's research, we never got our turn! (Wilbur was researching to find the blueprints for Tia's kitty hospital so he could go in and catnap her! However, she got released and is home now, so he doesn't have to travel to Georgia to rescue her.)
