Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentines Day! We hope you're having a great day with your Valentines. Since we can't be with our canine Valentines, we are spending the time with our human Valentines, Mom and Dad!

We have received this award from both Huffle and Phantom and Thunder. Thank you! The rules of this award are that you have to post about 10 things that make you happy and try to do one of those things today. So here is our list.
1. Walks. Now that it's not getting dark as early, we are getting more walks, so that is definitely good.
2. Kongs. We get a stuffed Kong in our crate every work day and we love it. Some mornings Steve makes Mom feel like he can't wait for her to leave. He just hangs out by the freezer, waiting for her to hand him a Kong.
3. Cuzes. When we don't get to go for walks, we usually play with our cuzes inside. Steve always has to play with a squeaky Cuz, but Kat doesn't care.
4. Laps. Wilbur loves to sleep on a lap, Dad's in particular.
5. Treats. We each have our favorite treats, but no matter which ones, they make us happy.
6. Treat balls. We got some new treat dispensing balls and we love them. Mom puts part of our supper in them so we can play with them just about every day.
7. Pellet stoves. Wilbur loves to nap in front of our pellet stove.
8. Wrestling. Nothing better than a little Siberian wrestling to pass the time.
9. Stuffies. Steve loves his beaver and Wilbur loves his kitty.
10. Friends. We all love our blogging friends!

Now we are supposed to give this award out to 10 friends, but we don't think that we can think of 10 friends that haven't gotten it! So if you haven't gotten it, please consider yourself awarded.

Moms make good beds

The other day Dad walked into the living room to find this:
DSC_0015
What can I say, Mom likes to sleep on the couch and I like to sleep on Mom. She's the reverse of those fancy mattresses that conform to your body, so you can see, I conformed to hers.

In other feline news, I received an award from the Bumpass Kitties. Granted, they gave me this award forever ago, but those furry beasts act like the blog only belongs to them! I always knew I would be famous. I just wonder who will play me in the movie about my life.

Meow,
Wilbur

A new patient

Mango wrote in with a problem. As always, here at Dr. Steve's Cure-All Clinic, we are ready and willing to help. Here's Mango's problem:

"Can you help me on how to get more hoomans food instead of boring tasteless kibbles?"

Mango's problem is one that is near and dear to my heart. Don't get me wrong, I love kibble, but I also think I would love to eat a lot of the stuff that my parents eat but do not share. To help Mango out, I have written a prescription requiring him to have lots of good food. I'm still a bit worried that his humans won't feed him what he wants, so I added a bit at the bottom stating that Mango has food allergies. I'm pretty sure this will do the trick. Mango's "food allergies" prevent him from eating any kibble. In fact, he's allergic to kibble, but not to anything human related. I'm pretty sure that his humans will abide by this medical diagnosis.
In other news, we are really behind on awards. Huffle has given us two awards:The first award states that we have to post this information:

Questions & Your Answers:

  1. The person who tagged you: Huffle Mawson
  2. His/her site’s title and url: Huffle Mawson, Explorer Cat http://hufflemawson.blogspot.com/
  3. Date when you were tagged: May 11, 2009
  4. Persons you tagged: anyone who hasn't received this. (Oh sure, that's lame, but I'm a doctor. Don't argue with me.)
For the second award, we are supposed to name five reasons we love blogging.
  1. Meeting really cool pups and cats from all over the world.
  2. Sometimes meeting them in real life (like we met Huffle's humans and Mom met the OP Pack but didn't take us)
  3. Sharing our adventures with the world
  4. Learning more about other breeds of dogs
  5. Helping dogs in need, through blogathon or sponsoring other dogs doing events
Thanks Huffle for those great awards!

What makes us happy

Our good pals Star and Jack-a-roo gave us this pretty award.  We are supposed to list six reasons we are happy.  We'll each do two.

Wilbur:
1. I am happy because I have a warm pellet stove for naps.
2. I am happy because the furry beasts know I am the boss.
Steve:
1. I am happy because my mom gives me bedtime treats every night.
2. I am happy because my dad lets me sit on the loveseat with him so I can look out the window.
Kat:
1. I am happy because my mom rubs my tummy.
2. I am happy because my dad says I'm his best girlie.

Roses and snooters

Thanks to the Army of Four, we received these beautiful flowers.
"These pink roses are given to friends, bringing them a sweet and fruitful day. Those who receive these roses as a gift need to pass them on to ten friends to show them you care. And to those who received the roses, it's to show you are never forgotten."
Isn't that just the sweetest thing?

We also want to send everypup over to Sitka, Cornelia Marie, and Tia's blog for a fun game of Name that Snoot! We are really excited for the chance to participate in a game show. Send in your guesses and you can participate too!

Award!`

We received this super cool award from the OP Pack.  As you know, Kat is very fond of Thunder from the OP Pack.  They are quite the adorable couple.

Anyway, this is the Golden Award.  Rules for the award say we have to post the award on our blog, add the link to the Award, then:

1. Pass it on to furries that do the hidey.

2. Share it with woofies that are good friends & protect us all.

To be honest, we aren't sure completely what furries that do the hidey are, but we think it might be cats.  They often like to hide from strangers.  We'd give it to a squirrel, but we don't know any squirrel bloggers.  So we'd like to give it to the Bumpass Cats.  As for #2, we'll give it to the Bumpass Hounds, because they are good friends.  They always leave very clever comments on our blog!

Awards and other news

I have been pretty lax about blogging this week. There is a lot to catch up on.

First, we have received some awards. Khyra gave us this one:Obviously she thinks we have a 5-star blog and we think the same about her!

The OP Pack, Tibby, and Kelsey gave us this award. This award is the Bloggy Friends award. Our favorite things about blogging are the friends we have made, so we really appreciate this award.

Also, King Sky Boy inducted me into his Royal Siberian Court. I am now a knight! How cool is that? My official title is Sir Steve of the Washington Woos. I am really excited.

And finally, I thought I'd end with this picture. Ozzie likes to talk about how the lap of his 1973 male is really great, I am fond of the feet of my 1980 male.Happy Friday!

Announcements

We have two announcements for today.

The first: If you haven't heard, one of our dear Siberian friends has gone missing. A cute girl named Stormy and we really want her to make it home for Christmas, so if you live in Colorado, please keep your eyes out for her. For more information, click here. If you don't live in Colorado, just keep your paws crossed that Stormy comes home or someone sees her.

Second: Huffle, our favorite feline friend in all of Australia, gave us this cool award. Here is what the award means:
"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

Now we are supposed to give this out to eight more bloggers, but we're sort of behind on blogs and don't know who has received this and who hasn't. So we're just going to say that if you don't have it and you're one of our blog readers, then you are definitely cool enough to win this award from us!

We won the bronze!

We can't believe it. We won a bronze medal in the Pawlimpics! We were contestants in the syncronized sleeping event and we managed to squeak out the bronze. Definitely go check out the results. The gold medalists are a canine/feline team. They definitely deserved the gold for being a cross-species team.

An award for me

This award was given to me.  ME and not the furry beasts.  I think I'm very deserving of this award because I am very nice to myself.

Meow,
Wilbur

PS. I think that kitty in the award picture looks like Tia.

Blogging Award

Star and Jack gave us this cool award. They said we're their Blogging Friends Forever. Isn't that nice? Star and Jack remind us a lot of ourselves. Kat is the ruler of the house but is super cute, like Star. Steve is a playful, silly, handsome boy, like Jack. Steve even likes to have best friend stuffies, like Jack's Pengie. Too bad Star and Jack don't have a Wilbur. Maybe we should share custody of Wilbur. He could spend a week and our house and then a week at Star and Jack's house. Star and Jack, what do you think?

We're supposed to give this award to 5 bloggers. We can't remember who's received it, but we are pretty sure that the Brat Pack hasn't posted about it. So since they are a happy pack of five, we are going to give it to them. Sam made us laugh when she got caught in the bag, so she definitely deserves it!

Steve and Kat

Update:
We're completely retarded and forgot that Thunder, Dakota, and Phantom gave us this award too. We are so sorry pups! We love you all too! (Kat especially loves Thunder.) We're going to blame this on Mom.

Game #7 Results

Congrats to our winner, Peanut, for correctly naming a university with a husky as their mascot. There are several correct answers to this question, including the University of Washington. If you're a regular reader of Turbo's blog, you've been educated on several husky mascots. (Bonus points to Eva and Brice because they remembered that the University of Washington uses a malamute for their actual mascot even though they call themselves the Huskies.)

Now we'll feature an award that we received ourselves from the Army of Four. They gave us the Brillante Weblog award and Arte-y-pico Award.Star and Jack also gave us the Brillante Weblog award. Thanks to everypup for our awards!

I'm an award winning cat

Huffle gave me an award called the Cool Cat award.  I'm sure every one who knows me will agree that I truly am a cool cat.  I also feel the need to comment on Huffle's amazing art talent.  She's very good at designing cool pictures for blogs.  Anyway, the way the Cool Cat works is that you win and then you nominate five other cool cats to win.  Huffle says dogs can win too, but you know my feelings about furry beasts.  I'm only going to nominate real felines.  So here's who I am nominating:

1. Tia - She used to live the good life, but now she has two furry beasts.  She needs all the cheering up she can get, so I hope this award helps.
2. Shelby - It must be hard living with Flash and Peanut.  They seem to get into a lot of trouble though, so maybe it's entertaining.
3. Bones and Loki - I am pretty sure that part of all the trouble Marley and Ziggy get into is because Bones and Loki carefully craft situations so the furry beasts will walk into a room and get in trouble.  I have much to learn from these cool cats.
4. Mama, MrSippi, and Carolina - I think it's pretty cool how these cats not only have awesome names, but one has the name of "Mama" which obviously means she's the boss of everything.
5. Witty Kitty - Witty Kitty is another feline with a great name.  He also gets to go on walks with his furry beasts.  So he's not only cool, he's brave.

Finally, we have this alligator blogathon prize.  I don't know much about alligators, but I'm sure they taste like chicken.

Meow,
Wilbur
