Mill Creek Festival

As mentioned before, we went to the Mill Creek Festival on Sunday. We don't live very far from where it was held, so we rode bikes over there. Mom and Dad got some pizza for lunch and we didn't get any pizza. Boo! Here's a picture of me waiting for Dad to finish his Diet Coke.Here's Kat. She's waiting too. I've noticed that we spend a lot of time waiting on our humans.

After Mom and Dad finished their pizza, we went over to the Pet Plaza. Mom wanted to talk to a few dog food companies since she's trying to figure out what dog food to switch us over to next since Canidae is changing their formula and outsourcing their production. We got samples of some food, but so far, Mom hasn't let us eat any.

The Dock Dogs were performing at the Pet Plaza. It was really cool. Mom caught one dog on video.

Since Mom said we couldn't go get in the big Dock Dogs pool, we went over to this booth where they had a "doggie spa" set up. We took full advantage of it. It was sponsored by the store where we buy our dog food and a groomer. I got the groomer to share some of her lunch with me, so she's cool. Mom scheduled an appointment for us to get groomed on Friday.
All in all, it was a fun afternoon.

Feelin' hot, hot, HOT

Hi pups. Sorry for not blogging this weekend. I've been roasting in my fur coat. It was sunny and over 90 degrees both days this weekend. On Saturday, I was loving it. I just relaxed, sun bathed and worked on my tan. Then Sunday, I couldn't take it much more. I didn't want to go outside, but it was just as hot inside. We don't have air conditioning. I stood in front of the magic cold box, but only got a fresh breeze when Mom would get something out of it. Mom did give me a little bit of watermelon to cool off, but it wasn't enough. I started sleeping in the hallway. It's the darkest area of the house and also has cool, wood floors. Then when it was bedtime, Mom made me come in the bedroom. It was so hot. I had to get off the bed and sleep on the floor. That's how hot it was. You all know heat rises, so I tried to stay as low on the floor as possible. It was miserable.

Mom did take me to get an ice cream cone Sunday afternoon, so that helped. She and Dad also tried to find us new kiddie pools but could only find blow-up ones and those are not claw friendly. I hope she can find a plastic one soon!

So we'll get back to blogging regularly as soon as I recover from my heat stroke!

PS. Something must be wrong with Mom. She was going on about how the weather was great and she could finally wear shorts, blah, blah, blah! I'm going to have to have her head examined.

New Dog Park Friend

We went the dog park again last night. We met up with Maddox, a four month old husky. He was so cute! We can't believe we were once that little! Also while we were there, two other huskies came. One looked almost identical to me! She ran around so much that Mom didn't get a good picture of her.

At first, Maddox was pretty shy because it was his first time at the dog park. But soon enough he really wanted to play with Steve and me. Here are a couple of videos of him playing with us and watching us wrestle.

Whew! What a tiring weekend!

We had a really exhausting weekend. We went to the dog park yesterday AND today. When we went yesterday, there was only one other dog there. It was awfully hot and we didn't stay very long. Here we are resting after only a couple minutes of play. It was Ulee's first time at the dog park and she had fun.
Once we got home, Dad filled up our pool so we could cool off. Dad started playing a game with me where he would squirt water around and I would chase it. It was really fun.

We went to the dog park again today too. Ulee's new family likes to go to the dogpark, so Mom wanted to make sure Ulee was going to do okay with them. She did great. Today there were a lot of dogs there and Ulee was friendly to dogs, people, and little people. She didn't even try to jump on any of the people. The dog park had the pools out again, so we went swimming again.

Lots of people thought Ulee was very pretty. Some people didn't know that huskies came in other colors besides black and grey, so Ulee attracted a lot of attention! She even made a friend while she was being a pool princess.Ulee's new family is coming to get her next weekend. She will meet them on Saturday and then if everything goes okay, they will take her home on Sunday. We are really happy for Ulee. We saw Dogster page for the husky that Ulee's family had before and it looks like she was a spoiled pup! We're glad that Ulee will be spoiled too. I think Steve might miss her a little. They are becoming pretty good friends. Mom caught them hanging out together yesterday morning (before she got the bed made). I don't know if I will miss Ulee very much, but I am being nicer to her. Well, hopefully you all had a fun weekend too. We've got lots of rest to catch up on this week!

We're back!

We just got back from the dog park. Dad went crazy taking videos of us. We're going to post them all, but I don't know if you'll have enough patience to watch us. They had TWO pools! We loved it!
