Feelin' hot, hot, HOT

Hi pups. Sorry for not blogging this weekend. I've been roasting in my fur coat. It was sunny and over 90 degrees both days this weekend. On Saturday, I was loving it. I just relaxed, sun bathed and worked on my tan. Then Sunday, I couldn't take it much more. I didn't want to go outside, but it was just as hot inside. We don't have air conditioning. I stood in front of the magic cold box, but only got a fresh breeze when Mom would get something out of it. Mom did give me a little bit of watermelon to cool off, but it wasn't enough. I started sleeping in the hallway. It's the darkest area of the house and also has cool, wood floors. Then when it was bedtime, Mom made me come in the bedroom. It was so hot. I had to get off the bed and sleep on the floor. That's how hot it was. You all know heat rises, so I tried to stay as low on the floor as possible. It was miserable.

Mom did take me to get an ice cream cone Sunday afternoon, so that helped. She and Dad also tried to find us new kiddie pools but could only find blow-up ones and those are not claw friendly. I hope she can find a plastic one soon!

So we'll get back to blogging regularly as soon as I recover from my heat stroke!
Steve

PS. Something must be wrong with Mom. She was going on about how the weather was great and she could finally wear shorts, blah, blah, blah! I'm going to have to have her head examined.

Steve,
Mom is laughing at you. She says wait a day or two and the weather will be just fine again and probably raining.
Plus she says your mom will be wearing shorts when it 55 degrees if you guys stay there long enough :)

Poor you! No air conditioning? No cold vents to lie on? I think you should get Mom's plastic card and order a cold air box for your clubhouse.

Wow, it really does get hot there! I don't know if Maine ever gets that hot, and if it does...it sure doesn't feel it (well at least in Portland- since we are near the ocean). Come on by anytime Steve!

Oh Steve! No a/c? Maybe you need a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim ductless system. Mom thinks a/c is so important that Dad is in the biz and Mom has two clients in the biz as well.

Of course in Texas, it's hot from May through Sept (and sometimes Oct too). I know...those days are just a distant memory to you guys.

I hope you get some relief soon. In the meantime, try some cold gel packs wrapped in towels on your bed.

I'd invite you to the frozen tundra (aka Minnesota) but it's been warm here too. Does your mom give you ice cubes?

Steve, come on holiday to Melbourne. It's winter here and freezing. I have to sleep under the doona with mum every night to stay warm enough.

I wish I could be of help but Virginia is no better. It's hot here too and has been smokey due to the wildfires. HuMom has to drag me outside and squeeze me to go potty then I run right back inside.

No a/c here either, and we've had a afew hot muggy days lately. At least it cools off a lot at night. Star says "Go dig a hole, nice & deep, & lie in it" She's right, you know. Get Kat to help you, she's a goooood digger!

Woo. I've had to move off the bed a few times, too, and sleep on a vent. Oddly, that seems to make Mom hotter. Woo.
