Cookies not for me

My mom made cookies this weekend. No, not the good kind, but white chocolate and peanut butter chip cookies. Here's a picture.

Now, when I say, "Not the good kind", I mean that they aren't doggie cookies that are only for me. (and Kat, I guess) No, these cookies were for Mom and Dad. They were very good though. I managed to sneak one off the counter and Dad caught me. I wanted more, but every time I peeked over the counter to see which one I wanted, Mom would say, "No! Off!" So I had to get down. It was really disappointing. I mean, don't you think that if she is going to bake that she should be baking for me? Here's a picture of me lying at the base of the cabinet, pouting because I didn't get any more cookies.

What's a pup to do when he wants cookies really badly, but his mom doesn't give him any? Maybe I should ask the Army of Four. They seem to have all of the answers.

My human has been experimenting with lots of doggie treat recipes for us (considering all allergy issues she is having quite a time of it) so we have been very lucky to get to try them all! How rude your mom didn't make any for you, cuz I know she can make GREAT doggie cookies!!

No fair! Dogs NEED cookies! Steve, you need to be like Tasha and be right under foot when your mom or dad is in the kitchen. Then you are right there to take care of anything that might fall on the floor. She is one Super Scavanger!! Sorry to hear that you didn't feel well the other day. Glad you're all better now! Steve, what a bummer! At least you were able to sneak one...your humans at least owe you THAT much!

How selfish of them to make treats for themselves before making treats for you!!

Aww, no cookies for you. Gosh, I guess they didn't know the cookie monster was in the house. Amici likes to help himself to things off of the counter too. One time I made a double layer carrot cake and he thought it smelled so good that while I was in the shower he ate a bit chunk out of the middle of one of the layers. Usually when he does something naughty, there is guilt written all over his face...but not this day. I didn't notice until I started to frost that layer of the cake. I had to make another one and we ended up just having the husky slobber one at home (I was making the original carrot cake for company).

Baking stuff that's not for you? I've got it on my Ask the Ao4 list. We'll address it VERY soon!

Hi Steve,
My name is Ruby and I'm a proud member of the AO4 too! Hey, I read your post and Stormy's great answer on her blog. Bottom line is how could your Mom even think to make cookies with out making any for you and Kat and Wilbur. That is so unfair! If she has to make some for the hoomans, she should at least share!!!

Good Luck! Lots of Licks, Ruby
