Happy Monday!

Hey puppies! I hope everyone had a good weekend. We sure did. We went to the park a few times, so that was good. On Friday, there was another husky there and she really liked us. Her mom said that she is usually protective of her dad and mom, but the other husky let me sit on her mom's feet and she didn't do anything. I bet she knew that I was a fellow husky so it was all good.

Another good thing about this weekend-- no bath! Usually Steve and I get a bath on Friday night. But since it was the beginning of the month and we had been de-crittered, we got a free pass! We always get those yummy things to eat to prevent creepy-crawlies in our insides at the beginning of the month and that other stuff that Mom and Dad hold us down and part our fur to squirt on us to prevent critters on our outsides. So because they had just put that stuff on our skin, we didn't get a bath. I don't like being held down so they can put that stuff on the back of my neck, but if it gets me out of a bath, maybe it isn't so bad. To celebrate, I dug a hole, just to see if they would go back on their "No Bath" policy for this weekend. They didn't. I just got a wet rag to my feet which is not nearly as bad as a bath.

We are going to training tonight and we have been practicing. Last time the trainer threw treats in front of us and expected us not to try to get them. I did pretty good, but it was VERY hard for Steve. I wonder what kind of tricks the trainer has up his sleeve for us this time. At least I know now that after the lesson we get to eat all of the treats that had been tempting us during the lesson!

Hey Kat,
I'm glad to hear that you got to meet another husky at the park. All dogs are cool but there is nothing like playing with your own kind. My bestest friend at the park is a husky named Sabrina. We love to play together.

You get a bath every week. That's just crazy. I haven't had a bath in months. Dad says that I'll just get dirty again so why bother. Normally I get dirty at the park but by the time we get home I'm clean. Of course the back of Dad's car is a mess.

I hate that critter prevention stuff that they squirt on me every month. I give Dad the cold shoulder for at least a day so he knows how unhappy I am with him.

Later,
Althea

Howdy Kat,
I love playing with all kinds of dogs. My favorites are the ones that are bigger than me!

The only time I get a bath is when I start to smell bad...and I am glad to say that is not often! Maybe a couple times a year...or if I run around in mud and roll in it.

Lots of love,
Rosco

Woo Woo Kat (and Steve)...
Wow a bath every week? I am about to turn 3 and I have only had Two baths in my lifetime :) I stay clean. I don't really like to get dirty.. that happens every once in a blue moon. There was one time where I found some mud in the back yard.. that was FUN!

The critter stuff.. yeah, I don't like having that put between my shoulders. Several reasons.. I don't like to be held down, and I can not see what mom is doing. I have to see EVERYTHING. So, she fools me.. she gives me that yummy heartworm stuff and goes the shoulder stuff at the same time. She think's she is slick!!

I think other Sibes KNOW other Sibes. We communicate well with each other. I'm glad you got to play with a new husky friend!
I don't like the anti-critter squirt either! Not at ALL!
We only get baths every 6 months or so. But we get tons of brushing. Too much, if you ask ME!

Wow, baths every week! That much suck! I get one once a year.

I also get the inside and outside critter stuff too. But, since we have winter, I only have to get it from March thru November. I have to go in for my yearly inside critter check this month. At least I get a car ride out of it!!
