Departure Music

In honor of our departure, I wrote this song.

Kat
Come listen to a story ‘bout Valerie and Dave
Two poor engineers, barely kept their A/C paid,
Then one day they were dreamin’ of the North,
And up came a job and called them both forth.

Seattle that is.
Cloudy days, drizzle.

Well the first thing you know they were packing up their stuff,
Steve and Kat said, “Let’s move away from here!”
Said “Snowy mountains is the place we ought to be”
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Mill Creek.

Washington, that is.
Jumbo jets, mountains.

Khongrat!

Khyra
The bluest skies you've ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years in Seattle
In Seattle
When it's time to leave your home and your loved ones
It's the hardest thing a boy can ever do
And you pray that you will find
Someone warm and sweet and kind
But you're not sure what's waiting there for you
The bluest skies you've ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years in Seattle
In Seattle
When you find your own true love
You will know it
By her smile, by the look in her eye
Scent of pine trees in the air
Never knew a day so fair
It makes you feel so good
That you could cry
The bluest skies you've ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years in Seattle
In Seattle

welcome to Mill Creek, kids. that's very very close to where we live. we live in SE Everett, and our neighborhood is about 4 blocks from Mill Creek. mom takes us there all the time to shop at Paddywack and Central Market, but we can't go inside there. if you want us to bark at you, just let us know. we'll give you a good sniffing and bark.

Pee Ess, we saw your address in the DWB card exchange.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

Hey Kids, thanks for visiting our bloggy. we LOVE dog parks and we have our favorite one in Redmond, called Marymoor. it takes our mom about 40 minutes to get there in our dog-mobile, mostly because she drives the speed limit. but it's worth the trip. it's 44 acres of fields, trails and a little river for swimming! lots and lots of dogs go there so you can make a lot of friends in a hurry. we always stay there for about 1 hr or sometimes 1 1/2 hrs. we chase tennis balls and run and romp. when we get done we are dirty and exhausted - just the way we like it.

there are some closer parks that are okay, and we can tell you about those too. but nothing compares to Marymoor. our mom takes us there every weekend, except not this weekend because of Benson's recovery from his fix-it surgery.

you can scroll back through our bloggy and see lots and lots of our dog park pictures. we also have a special 'dog park' header that our blog guru made for us. it's cool.

we can see you for a play date if you want. we don't know any big furry dogs like you, but we like everyone!

lucky you to be within walking distance of Paddywack. we love to shop there. we are 'frequent shoppers' and you will be too. they have lots of yummy treats and toys and our personal favorite - tennis balls! yay for tennis balls! Janet is the owner and she is really nice. she always pets us and gives us treats. you will like her.

happy welcome to the neighborhood woofers!

Woooo! Hope you're having a safe trip & get settled in comfortably. Our mom spent a year in Bremerton when she was in 2nd grade, she said she LOVES that part of the country.
We hope you had a chance to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving feast, even though you had to be on the road.
Woo at you soon,
