Husky Picnic

Hi pups! Kat here with some pictures from the Husky Picnic. The picnic is held every year as a fundraiser for the husky rescues in Washington. Last year when we were living in Texas, Mom saw the announcement for the picnic and was very jealous that we couldn't go, so now that we live in Washington, as soon as Mom heard about the picnic, she signed up! There were lots of huskies there.

On the way from the campground to the picnic, we went by these really tall things. They don't look like trees, but they turn in the wind. We stuck our heads out the window of the car to take these pictures. I guess that's what farmers grow in Eastern Washington. We did see a sign that said "Wind Farm".There were a few pups at the picnic that were rescued from a very bad puppy mill. This husky in the blue bandanna was only 11 pounds when she was rescued at 6 months of age! We were very happy to see that she's happy and healthy now in her foster home. Here are a couple pictures of different pups at the picnic.
Of course, I'm sure you all want to see pictures of the two most beautiful pups at the picnic, so here we are.
Finally, here is a video. The pup doing tricks in the video is Rocket. He was also rescued from the puppy mill and had been really beat up from a dog fight. He's now living in his forever home and he looked very happy.

Next up, hiking husky style!
Kat

It is so sad that there is such a thing as a puppy mill. But is good to hear that they were rescued and are in good homes now.

Look at all those beautiful huskies. You made lots of new friends. Thank goodness those huskies were able to be rescued and go on to furever homes.

I hope they gave you treats for looking so regal. That shouldn't have required any special tricks. It just comes natural.

Hi-Woo Kat,

Yur family looks like they have really settled into yur new home. That's great that you could meet other Huskies at a picnic.

To answer yur question that you posted on our blog - Our daddy & mommy gives the horsies baths right where daddy was squirting them wif water to cool them off. Bud doesn't like baths much. Daddy says he makes noises & snorts as if he is swearing at daddy & stamps his feet, hawoo! But he gets them anyway Charlie is used to them.

Talk wif ya soon!

Camping and a picnic. That's it, Sparta says she's coming to live with you. She loves adventure and the parents here are too boring for her. Looks like tons of fun to us. Thanks for sharing the adventures. What was Mom thinking when she thought you wanted the sleeping bag made for you? Displacing the humans is far better.

What a great event! It looks like everyone had a blast, and we're so happy to hear that at least a few of the pups from the mill have found great homes. And what could be better than a picnic filled with huskies?!?! We're so envious.

Wow that looks like fun! You two wanted to get some treats for doing tricks, too, huh? I wish we could go to a coonhound picnic. Boy, we would make lots and lots of NOISE!

Go, go Rocket!

Every once in a while the rest of us need to be reminded how lucky we are!

Not to be put upon with so many demands for tricks!

Around here it's, "Yeah, yeah, I'm sitting so give me the treat already!"
