My first class

Wednesday was my first agility class.  It was pretty fun.  I was a little annoyed when I barely got any supper.  When we got to the horse arena where the class is, Mom let me out of the car and we walked down to the arena.  That's when Mom got told that I needed to stay in the car while Mom and the other students' moms helped set up the equipment.  So Mom took me back to the car and I screamed the Husky Death Scream while the moms set everything up.  I hope I embarrassed Mom sufficiently so she doesn't try any funny business like that again.

Here I am looking into the arena.
Mom doesn't have any pictures of the actual class because she was very busy holding my leash, the clicker and dispensing treats.  I ate almost an entire bag of those training treats.  So I guess that made up for no supper.

Mom said I was one of the best students, except for my behavior on a leash.  I jumped over the baby jump and I wasn't afraid of the baby teeter-totter like a lot of the other dogs.  Mom and I are working on our homework, so hopefully I will be even better next week!

Steve had a much different evening and he will tell you about that in our next post!

Kat, how many classes do you think you'll have to go to, in order to properly train your mum?

Kat - We are very impressed. Our definition of agility is the couch olympics which we are great at.

You passed the first class like a piece of milkbone! Congrats!
And you ate almost an entire bag of those training treats, hehe. Education and training was fun , wasn't it?
Cheers!

I can't believe you didn't get your whole supper-dupper AND that had to wait in the CAR for a while! You should have ripped the car interior apart! OR - if this happens again - get the keys and drive to Sonic or somewhere! Really.

Ammy

"Husky Death Scream!" OMMgosh we love it! H-Mom was getting gas this morning and Booker was HOWLING that TAKE-ME-COONHUNTING-TOO howl so loudly that everyone (and there were lots!) at the gas station just stared. Coonhounds bark really really really loud. On purpose.

The husky death scream (LOL) that will learn'er!

WOO must have a longer attention span than I do... at my training the teacher called me "goofy hoosky" and I didn't learn much of anything from that stupid class.

Wooooo woo rar rar rar,

Good job for teaching Mom to give you so many treats! I need to sign up for that class.

your mom should have been handing out more treats then almost a whole bag.

Hey Kat,
You must've been doing A-OK to go through a bag of training treats, but they are kinda miniscule. Still not a good reason for a skimpy supper. Keep us informed about what you do at the classes. OBTW, it'll be 98 degrees here tomorrow, Dad sez that never happens in the Puget Sound rea, only east of the Cascades.

Up the ante the next time, Kat, and tell her woo need more and different treats. Wish we could watch woo in class. But we might really have a hard time controlling Thunder if he saw woo in action.

We forgot to tell you - yes - treats are the best part of agility training!!!

BTW - Mom gives us dinner before class because she doesn't want us to act like we are starved to death ! We always act very very hungry!
