Stuff out front
Sometimes there are squirrels that run around the front yard. The squirrels know better than to get in the backyard, but we aren't really allowed to patrol the front yard like the back. Mom caught this picture of us trying to explain to Dad why we should be allowed to run off-leash in the front yard. So far, our explanations haven't worked, but I'm pretty sure Dad will see the light soon.

If woo need help finding those bushy-tailed critters, I can be right there - we don't have many squirrels in our neighborhood. Besides, it would give me another excuse to go west, young man.

Oooooh.... Mom has told us about those Washington squirrels. She said she used to hand feed them when she was small. Sometimes we see little "munk-munks" on our walks in the park but they are a lot smaller than your squirrels. We wanna see!!!

Good luck with that argument Steve! My dad never buys any stories like that so I don't know how you will do.

We agree! Mom doesn't allow us to patrol out front too and she won't give in. We hope your Dad sees the light and let's you take care of cleaning up the front yard!

Dear steve & Kat,
woo need to lure the evil squirrels into your yard, catching them is much easier then. Try leaving a few crumbs leading under the gate.
We gave you an award, come see it on our bloggie!

Charge that window! Charge that door. Forward March! We LOVE to chase the critters, knocking the humans out of the way.
Good job.

I thought maybe the pizza delivery man was there at first.
How come Wilbur isn't watching out the window with you?

Reilly keeps trying to convince the lady that he should be able to take walks off leash, she won't go for it either!

What is it with humans and their rules about keeping us confined in backyards? We should all be allowed out front where the general public can admire us.

That looks like one very persuasive argument. A certain caninaturalist makes similar ones, also perched on the back of a couch. Is this from living with cats?
We only see our front yard out the window too. You could try telling Mom what happens when one of those pesky beasts makes it's way inside the house. That might help.
