As good as a bath can get

Steve and I had to take a bath yesterday.  Now you all know how much I hate baths.  I still don't like them, but we have been going to a new place for our last two baths.  It's a new shop near us called Muddy Buddy Dog Wash.  Even though baths are still pretty horrible (Mom, are you reading this?), the baths at Muddy Buddy are not nearly as bad as a bath in the shower or a bath outside with the hose.

Muddy Buddy has hitching posts so you can be leashed up while you wait your turn.  Here's Steve waiting while I got my bath.

Here I am with Mom while Mom was drying me off. I look pretty happy, don't you think? Mom looks pretty horrible, but I had shaken all over her, so she was wet.

Here's Dad drying me with the blower. It's so relaxing that I almost fall asleep!

Then it was Steve's turn. I told him that he looked like a drowned rat and then he stuck his tongue out at me.

When Steve got to the blower part of his bath, he exploded! Mom had brushed on him on Sunday and then again yesterday before we left the house. She brushed over one grocery bag of fur off of him and she thought he was good to be bathed. Boy was she wrong! There was fur everywhere! Mom and Dad felt really bad for the mess of fur Steve created.

It took so long to dry Steve that I got tired of waiting.

So that's how Muddy Buddy works. Check out their photo page and see if you recognize anypup. I know we have some readers in the Seattle area, so if you are looking for a good place to take a bath where your parents don't have to clean up the mess, check out Muddy Buddy!

Mom says that Muddy Buddy place looks cool! I am not so sure. CM would like it, but Sitka not so much. You two look great!!! I hope Wilbur didn't have to go there.

Oh, NO! Oh, Kat! Oh, Kat, I'm SO SORRY you two had to endure a b-a-t-h! And in PUBLIC! Did you scream the Siberian Death Scream and embarrass your mom and dad? I sure would have.
You two look waaaay more cooperative than I'd even THINK of being. And actually, I love that smile on your face in the pic of you and your mom. Your mom has a nice smile on her face, too. She must have appreciated you shaking your water and fur all over her.
Thanks for warning me about this place. My mom is totally intrigued; I am horrified!
Love,
Ammy
PS: Way to explode, Steve! :)

That looks like a great place to have a bath IF it is necessary. You both look great posing in those tubs. Mom and Dad look pretty good too. TD, of course, can't stop staring at his girl Kat.

Our humans laughed and said no way, no how, would we get a bath in public or they would be arrested for dog abuse.

That looks like a nice place to have a bath. Is it in Mill Creek?

My Mom said to tell your Mom that her driftwood art group's show is tomorrow at Country Village in Bothel. She said it's worth seeing if she has time. My Mom was there today. Tomorrow she is selling her embroidery stuff at the Issaquah Farmers Market.

Wow. Those are some wild looks on your faces. We had fun seeing mom and dad wash you. Now do you get to give them a bath?

I don't understand why your mum and dad didn't get in the bath with you?

Kat you look super happy, but Steve just looks miserable. I hope cookies were on offer afterwards.

Kat does look really happy. Almost like she has a secret.

Our momma looked and we don't have any place like that here. So it's into the tub with us in the morning.

Wooo! Baths in public! how horrifying! I am so glad Mom has never taken me to a public bath house, I am sure I would make such a racket that they would never allow me back again.

You two look like you did a great job at the bath house. I hear public bathing is big in Europe. Did you guys really endure the blower thingy? I usually try to attack it! Kill! Kill!

Our mom and dad checked out a dog wash in Coronado when they went on a trip (without us) to San Diego. They opened one in Fredericksburg about 6 months ago. That looks like a good place for the Newfs to go rather than the garden hose on the back patio. You guys didn't look all that upset by it. Those look like shamoos that you get dried with (AS SEEN ON TV). Too bad Wilbur had to miss out.

Steve looks like such a cute drowned rat. :) Sorry you had to get baths though....I think it's about time for me to get one too. It's been awhile so maybe I should go into hiding now!
