Yum!

I talked about my Missouri grandparents being here a few weeks ago. While they were here, Mom bought some strawberries and my grandma made some short cake. Here's a picture of Mom's bowl.

Looks delicious, doesn't it? Not to be left out, I got some too. Here's my bowl

Notice anything missing? That's right, the shortcake! I am sure I would love shortcake. After all, I love cupcakes, as I demonstrated when I stole eight of them off the stove when Mom wasn't looking. (I'll fess up to that because Dad wasn't home, Kat was with Mom and Wilbur would have looked really fat if he had done it, so it was pretty obvious it was me.) Also, I may or may not have been involved in the frosting incident of 2007.

So I'm not sure what I should have done. Should I have complained and risked not getting anything or just politely taken my bowl without the shortcake? What do you pups think?
Steve

PS. For the record, I didn't complain and I waited patiently to eat my strawberries and cool whip.

The shortcake would have been nice but at least you got the white fluffy puppy crack!!!

You got strawberries and whip??? You lucky pups!!! You are both WAY too good just sitting there like that. I would have had my snooter in that bowl before it hit the ground!

PeeEss: bummer about the khake. I think the cupkhake thing ruined it for you.

Woo made the right choice. Too bad woo did yourself in with the cupcake & frosting capers. Woo'll have to sneak cake fur yourself once in a while when the coast is clear!

We chose option C - Snarf down what is offered, then plead pitifully with the humans that life is unfair and you deserve MORE!

P.S. - We think you were staring at that cake because the squirrels had broken into the house and carried off the frosting. You were on guard to prevent further squirrel attacks.

Wooo! whip cream! The heck with the strawberries. I would have left them and begged for more cake. I LOVE cake, I too have been caught once or twice with the missing items those evil squirrels did it!

Whoa, we don't ever get that white fluffy stuff, is it as good as ice cream.. Mom says that those strawberries look like the kind she would like, not like the dry juiceless ones here.

Maybe you can get cake the next time.

Oh, wow. Aren't strawberries awesome!?!? We're all out right now, but tomorrow is the Farmer's Market, so maybe mom and I will go get some.
I'm happy with anything Mom and Dad are willing to give me. I don't think I've ever had cake!
