Backyard Helping
Mom and Dad has been working hard in our backyard, but not as hard as we have been working. Mom and Dad hope to have grass planted in the entire yard within the next couple weeks, so Kat and I have doubled our efforts to help.
Our yard used to have some bamboo bushes and Dad has been digging them up. You can see him in the background of this picture. Notice what a great job I'm doing at keeping dirt out of the hole where he had just removed some bamboo roots.
Here's a closer look.
Yard work is hard but I just know it will be worth it when Kat and I have nice, soft grass to run on while we play chase!

Wooo, I love laying in the dirt too, that is so much fun doing yard work and gardening. Mom has been replacing part of the yard too, and we have this great dirt pile to play in.

Grass? Is that the green stuff we see outside the fence? We prefer our mud and straw. We think a little rain added, and that hole would be perfect for playing in.
Great job, Steve, plus the added advantage of keeping cool on that freshly turned soil. Your Dad is working very hard - look at those huge balls of roots.

Our parents gave up on the back corner of the yard. They got grass to grow really nice one year and then they took down the fence that kept the pups out of that area. It's back to dirt.
But I'm sure that you are much better behaved than Tasha and I were.

They are going to plant grass over all that comfortable dirt?!? Personally, we prefer the dirt. We work hard at removing the grass so we can lie on/in the dirt. Wo two are really working hard, aren't woo?

P.S. Mom says now that summer is almost here she hopes to have more time so we can meet up and go for a hike! YIPPEE!!
