Our Collars - Updated
Last week I wrote about our collars. Then I wrote about how I broke mine on the farm last weekend. Here's a picture of my broken collar. You can see that plastic snap-on collars are no match for my sleek, 37 pounds of pure muscle.
So Mom and Dad decided that we needed something tougher. They don't want to have any huskies on the run! Today we went shopping and I picked out the prettiest collar I could find. It is so beautiful, don't you think?
I like the little bones on it and it is pink, my trademark color. (Sometimes humans think I am a boy, so I have to wear pink.) Here is a close up picture in case you can't see the bones. It also has a bone charm that hangs down from the loop where my tags go.
And here's me modeling it.
Oh, and I picked one out for Steve. It's the same, but blue. And bigger because Steve is bigger. Steve is a really good model, so you can see his collar really well in this picture. Don't you think Steve should be in movies or commercials? He is so good at working the camera.
Well, I am off to jingle around the house with all my tags and the bone charm on my collar. Wilbur is very jealous because my collar is nicer and more jingle-y than his. I guess I should have looked to see if they had matching ones for cats. Maybe I will do that on my next shopping trip.

Oooooooh....those are cool collars! Mom won't buy the ones with those plastic clips anymore. We break those pretty quick. Mom said most dog stuff isn't made for us. HAROOO!!!

Wow Kat (and Steve)... super cool collars. I LOVE the bones! Oh, the one Wilber has is awesome! Maybe you should just find him another jingle to put on his collar???

We really like your new collar - pink is Guinness' fav color cuz everyone thinks she's a boy and she's a girl. Mommy gave her one that's pink wiff bubberflies on it so everyone knows she's a girl. Guinness once broke her collar too, so it's not just a husky thing. We all have Lupine collars now. They come in great colors and patterns and are lifetime guarunteed - even if chewed! Some of them are set up to act like correction collars too, so we can't back out of them. Mommy especially likes these for the fosters.
Bones, we loves bones!
I break collars too, and I'm not even a husky (must be the Akita in me). They get me leather ones, but I still break them if they tie me out. NewMommy & Daddy never tie me out, so my current collar has lasted for almost a year. I think you look very pretty in your pink collar.

Steve looks pretty good too.
Wow Steve, Kat and Wilber! I see that favicon!!! It looks super cool! I am glad you all joined in and put one on your site!
Hugs,
Sitka and Tia :)
What a pretty collar! (and Steve's is equally macho) You guys must jingle all over the house now...how will you hide???

Those are really nice collars. Pink is definetly your color.
Cool collars! Like Echo's mom, our mom won't buy us the plastic clip kind, either. Actually, nothing less that 1" thick nylon. And in a limited slip. It's like she thinks we're going to pull real hard or something! HA! Oh... wait a minute...
Luv,
Dave
