Mom's Pet Peeve = My New Bed

Dad does something that annoys Mom. When he has clothes that he's worn, but aren't dirty enough to be washed, instead of putting them away, he piles them on top of the chest-of-drawers. It drives Mom crazy. I have found that I can get pretty comfy on top of his clothes.

I hope he doesn't mind a little fur.

Oh, wow. That looks comfy, Wilbur! I hopped up on top of my dad's dresser when I first got here - he has the tall kind... you know, about 4 feet tall? It was cool. I could see a lot up there - and shredded some silk plants that were up there. Sadly, there wasn't a comfy pile of clothes to lay in. Sadder still, Stormy told me in no uncertain terms I was NOT to do that again. I'll dresser-sit vicariously through you, OK?

Now why would you want to lie on dirty or semi-dirty clothes? The best ones are the ones fresh out of the dryer - soft, warm, and so sweet-smelling.

Our Mom's pet peeve about clothes are the ones that are put in the wash inside out. Her rule is - if it goes into the wash inside out, it gets folded inside out and then put in the drawer - not her worry how he wears them:)

Just ignore Khyra's rude comments, she really loves you and wishes you were her cat!

I don't know why your Dad might mind if you roll around on his clothes. If they aren't ready for the cleaners when he puts them there, they will be when you are finished, right Wilber?

Stella

Wilbur, your dad is probably putting those clothes there just for you. He just tells your mum something else to confuse her. I'd do exactly the same thing if we had a dresser.

If I could get on that pile of clothes, I would take a nap there too! That looks super comfy and probably smells pretty good.

Our dad does the same thing but sadly, his dresser is too high for us to jump up on.

Wilbur, isn't it wonderful to have a new bed! We totally do that at home too! Whenever mum puts out the clean clothes on the bed us two girls like to curl up on the clothes. Mum then says something about fur all over the clean laundry, but our argument is that at least we don't shed as much as that big fat pug!!!!

Woo look prety comfy there, Wilbur. Our old kitty Chiow Chow was quite the clothes-nest connoisseur too. He's leave l-o-t-s of fur behind!

We don't do that.

mommy does the same thing - and so does sweetie - mommy leaves her sweat pants and shirt on the bed - and sweetie thinks that is an invitation to nap

I think he leaves them there for you on purpose, but just lets your mom think he "forgot" to put them away!

And, besides, no outfit is complete without fur!!

Hey Wilbur,
GReat to hear from you. Our dad leaves clothes in a pile next to his night stand. Everyone piles stuff on top of Radar's crate at the foot of the big bed and that is where Alex does what you do. Hey, whatever makes your day guy. We're sorry that you don't have an "I Love me" wall like Steve & Kat. Oh well, we're sure it's just a logistics problem and that you really are part of the family.
