It wasn't me!

Hi pups.  Steve here. Last weekend, Mom looked out the window and saw Kat and me standing by a giant hole.

There was dirt everywhere!
Mom came running outside yelling "No!"  Then she had to go into digging CSI to figure out who was in trouble.  Since Kat and I were both seen at the scene of the crime, we were both suspects.  I present my evidence.

Me: Clean.  No dirty paws.  Cute face.  Brown eyes saying, "I'm innocent."
Kat: Dirty head.  Not looking at the camera to hide her shame.  Dirty paws.  Guilty.
She didn't even feel any remorse.  You can see that she's just laughing at Mom as Mom tries to take a picture of her dirty paws for evidence.
I wasn't helping.  Not at all.  I was just at the hole telling Kat to stop.  That's right.
Steve

Good job, Kat! It looks like you were half way to China! We make our holes very wide and long, but not very deep. Of course, we still get covered in red mud!

Excellent hole. You could have blamed it on something else, like a giant gopher, and just said that you were trying to catch the culprit! This morning we saw a huge possum running across the park. Boy are those things ugly. We could blame a lot of things on him!

Hey, if all she got was some dirty paws and some mud splatters on her face it was all SO worth it -

I would have thought woo would have at least left HIS tail showing so we khould see where you plopped HIM -

Of course you weren't helping Steve. You would never do something like that

Clearly there was a critter in peril down there and Kat was just helping it out.

Yes, Steve, about those brown eyes...!

(Why weren't you helping Kat?)

As long as no-one blamed it on Wilbur I'm happy. And didn't you explain to your mum that you were just helping with the landscaping?

Kat,

How nice of you to dig Wilbur a new hiding place.

We have land mines in our backyard now. Kana and Amici have definitely made our yard creative. :)

Good job Steve for staying "innocent". Kat...you need to work on your lying skills.

Eye witnesses are unreliable and pictures can be altered. Kat, we believe none of it.

Umm... all I'm going to say is that Kat is as innocent as her BF Thunder is! http://armyoffourdigest.blogspot.com/2008/06/sunday-salute-thunder.html REALLY.

I agree with Echo...there had to be some kind of dangerous animal hiding underground for you to do such a thing.

hey that's a great hole. we're proud of you. digging holes is an important job and you need to take it seriously. when your human catches you, you can look guilty or innocent, it doesn't matter because the hole is the prize. humans can't help it that they don't understand the importance of hole-digging.

woofs.

Kat,
You should have told your mom that you were digging a diamond mine. She'd let you keep digging.
